Economic Development
Promotes the prosperity of the region through marketing, business expansion and relocation:
- Economic Development: Oversees and provides guidance to the activities of the Chamber in recruiting corporate expansions and relocations.
- International Business Development: Oversees efforts that highlight world markets and promotes the region internationally.
- Economists Council: Provides a forum for the region's leading economists to guide the Chamber's economic development strategies and information resources.
- Technology Business: Oversees the chamber's efforts to promote the region as a center of technology.
Public Policy
Develop and advocate public policy positions on key issues that affect the business community:
- Transportation and Infrastructure: Directs the Chamber’s transportation and infrastructure initiatives to influence policy at all levels of government to create excellent regional transportation.
- Water Supply: Directs the Chamber's efforts to ensure adequate long-term water supply.
- Air Quality and Environment: Directs the Chamber's environmental initiatives to influence policy at all levels of government and to ensure the region's environment will attract talent and jobs.
- Talent, Workforce & Education: Directs efforts regarding the region's future workforce, as well as regional leadership development programs.
- Employer Health Care: Addresses public policies affecting employer health care costs and availability to ensure the area remains competitive.
- Health System CEO Council: Provides a forum for the region's major health care CEO's to identify policy issues of common concern, with a focus on economic development.
- University CEO Council: Provides a forum for the region's major university CEO's to identify policy issues of regional concern.
- Public Advocacy: advises on strategies to execute and effect the Chamber's policy positions.
Member Service:
Oversees implementation of business development programs that benefit Chamber members.
