Economic Development

Vice President: Mike Rosa

The Greater Dallas Chamber Economic Development Department serves as a single point of contact for companies, site selection consultants and corporate real estate executives examining the region. The department works closely with other cities and economic development organizations to facilitate location and expansion in the metropolitian region.


Government Relations

Vice President: Jay Barksdale

As the voice for the business community, the Greater Dallas Chamber represents business interest in public policy and civic arenas by tracking legislative issues and advocating for business interests to government officials at the local, state and federal levels. The Chamber provides our members access to government officials through a variety of events.


Technology Business Development

Vice President: Meredith Dowling

The Technology Business Council's (TBC) mission is to develop, publicize and sustain the region as a global leader in technology talent, innovation, integration and manufacturing.

Goals:

  • Support the Chamber's mission to foster business growth and commercialization throughout the DFW region.
  • Assemble and engage key parties linked to the region's technology resources and infrastructure.
  • Lead an international marketing campaign to promote the region as a world-class technology center.


International Business Development

Vice President: Meredith Dowling

The International Business Development Department of the Chamber seeks to unite and engage the area's international business community towards promoting economic growth. Our team takes direction from Chamber volunteers with respect to setting up programming designed to promote best international business practices, generating global trade and investment opportunities, and identifying and taking positions on legislation that will impact area businesses’ ability to conduct their business internationally.


Education Initiative

Vice President: Patti Clapp

The Greater Dallas Chamber recognizes the importance of a strong education system and is committed to providing the region with the support needed to not only equip students with a solid academic foundation but also prepare them for a leading innovative workforce. In order to achieve this, the chamber develops and promotes initiatives to increase business involvement in all phases of the educational process.


Healthcare Initiative

Vice President: Patti Clapp

The Greater Dallas Chamber is committed to developing and promoting programs to examine and address healthcare costs and issues such as the uninsured, CHIP, and uncompensated care.  In addition, in partnership with WorkSource for Dallas County, the Chamber manages the DFW Regional Healthcare Cluster, bringing together industry and educational efforts to develop the future workforce needed in the healthcare industry of North Texas


Workforce Initiative

Vice President: Patti Clapp

To facilitate local economic development by (1) Providing forums and educational opportunities related to workforce development issues. (2) Serving as liaison between business, education and government to address and anticipate workforce challenges. (3) Proactively partner with the Chamber Education and Leadership Development committees to synergistically address short and long term solutions to workforce requirements. (4) Work with other businesses and community organizations to synergistically address short and long term goals.


Leadership Development

Vice President: Patti Clapp

Through education, community awareness and hands on experience the Leadership programming aims to provide the region with an ongoing source of diverse leaders at all levels of business expertise who are prepared and committed to serve as catalysts and sustainers of positive change for the quality of life in the region.


Business Information & Research

Vice President: Lyssa Jenkens

Timely, accurate information is critical to business success. The Greater Dallas Chamber helps decision-makers better understand the DFWmarketplace with a variety of business information resources ranging from publications and web-based tools to on-call technical assistance, custom research and economic forums. Women's Business Initiative

Dallas is home to a dynamic community of successful businesswomen. The Greater Dallas Chamber promotes economic opportunities for all women-entrepreneurial, professional and corporate. The Chamber is turning the challenges facing working women into unlimited opportunities through programs that educate, inform and provide access for business development as well as professional and personal growth.
